ERWIN—For 32 minutes, the Lady Blue Devils took Happy Valley to the woodshed and gave the team a spanking it will long remember.
Unicoi bombarded the Lady Warriors 69-43 in a game that many thought might go down to the wire.
But that became a afterthought when Unicoi opened the game on a 12-2 run.
“This was not one our better efforts,” said head coach Larry Abel. “We got outhustled all night long. On the offensive and defensive ends and especially the glass, we got outplayed from start to finish. I’m very disappointed with our effort.”
It was definitely a “Windex” performance by the Lady Blue Devils. The Blue Devils dominated the glass, and it showed in the first quarter. They would end the contest at plus-28.
