BAILEYTON — Shooting woes in the first half proved costly in the end for Unaka’s Lady Rangers here Friday night. Despite a solid effort at a fourth-quarter comeback, Unaka couldn’t make up for all its missed opportunities, dropping a tough 49-40 Watauga Valley Conference clash with North Greene.
The Lady Rangers made only three field goals in the first two quarters. North Greene wasn’t really much better, but when the Lady Huskies got hot at the foul line down the stretch, those points left off the board would have been nice for Unaka.
