Lady ‘Dogs dispatch No. 8 North Greene

In a showdown of two of the state’s top Class A basketball teams, Hampton’s girls dominated.
The eighth-ranked Lady Bulldogs disposed of No. 6 North Greene 49-32 on Tuesday night in Watauga Valley Conference action at VanHuss-White Gymnasium.
“One of our better defensive efforts of the season,” Hampton coach Leon Tolley said. “We prepared well for them. When you play them you’ve got to be mentally prepared and ready, and our girls were for four quarters.”
