Lady Cyclones too much for Johnson County


Elizabethton’s volleyball team not only picked up a welcome road victory on Thursday night, but showed incredible resiliency in doing so.

After breezing in the first two games 25-12 and 25-11, the Lady Cyclones rallied from seven points down in the third to prevail 25-22 in Three Rivers Conference action at Ray Shoun Memorial Gymnasium.

“It really was good, because Johnson County really started playing a lot cleaner on their side of the net,” Elizabethton coach Leslie Bradley said. “We got down. We made a lot of unforced errors to get down, but were able to come back — so that was definitely a good sign.”
