Lady Buffs zip past Tennessee Wesleyan

A young Milligan College team that had struggled during the first half of the season grew up in a hurry on Friday night.

The Lady Buffaloes made a statement and then some at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse with a convincing 25-21, 25-20, 25-22 victory over Tennessee Wesleyan.

The spark early was provided by Kylie Whaley, who had 10 of her 11 kills in the first set. After that, it was a spread-out effort spearheaded by great defense.

Some of that great defense came from outside hitter Grace Ann Moorhouse, a freshman from Morristown who is the daughter of former Johnson County High School basketball standout Jeff Moorhouse.
