Saturday, Nov. 10, at First United Methodist Church, the Elizabethton Kiwanis Club will be flipping pancakes for the 50th year for many good causes in the community, To continue the services performed by the local Kiwanians, fundraising is a vital function of the club, and pancakes are a big part of the fundraising.

This year’s breakfast is dedicated to the memory of Kiwanian Don Tetrick, who died earlier this fall.

Tetrick had been a part of every pancake breakfast until last year, when he was too ill to attend.

“For the past few years, he had been unable to help with the cooking and serving of the breakfast, but he came and took tickets and money,” said Richard Barker, a fellow Kiwanian.
