As a boy, Lee Seats had a big dream, but it started out small — literally.

In the back of a borrowed science magazine, Seats took notice of advertisements for King Midget vehicles, which might be considered the world’s first compact car. Produced from 1946 until operation ceased in 1970, the pint-sized vehicles helped to establish King Midget’s significant niche in the annals of the automobile industry.

For Seats, it was many years before his boyhood dream of owning one of the tiny cars became a reality.
