Jr. Highlanders topped by Tri-Cities

John Orr Field proved to be the perfect “nesting place” for Tri-Cities Christian to hatch out a victory in middle school football action on Tuesday.

The Eagles soared to a 20-8 win over a young Highlanders team that is made up of mostly sixth- and seventh-graders.

Cloudland’s defense played well in the trenches, but couldn’t overcome giving up three long touchdown plays. Still, head coach Scott Potter was pleased with his team’s effort.
