Daniel Arnett, Hampton’s middle school football coach, has spent some of his spare time recently hanging around perennial collegiate power Appalachian State.
He’s counting on the environment of the three-time national champion rubbing off, and help benefit his Junior Bulldogs.
“Honestly, we have improved a whole lot from the beginning of the year,” Arnett said before Monday’s practice. “I wasn’t so sure about how the season would go, but after we got started and got to practice — we started getting some more athletes out, we’re doing a whole lot better than what I expected.”
