Incumbent candidates on the Elizabethton city council and school board will be joined by two new faces for their December meetings.
On the city council, incumbent Curt Alexander was the top vote-getter to earn a third term; he will be joined on council by newcomers Bob Cable and Jeff Treadway.
In the race for three seats on the Board of Education, incumbent Rita Booher won re-election, but newcomer Phil Isaacs drew the most votes. Grover May will join Booher and Isaacs on the board after placing third in the six-way race.
Alexander received 2,496 votes, or 26.4 percent of the total. Cable was second with 2,463 votes, or 26.05 percent, and Treadway received 2,438 votes, 25.79 percent. The other candidate in the race, Vicky Manuel, received 2,026 votes.
