Kendra Leighann Ollis and Colton Gage Ollis were both less than a year old when they died.   New NW Ollis-Kid3x4C

They both died in the month of December: Kendra in 2008, Colton in 2011.

Although Kendra and Colton were born in two different states, they shared one more thing: a father, Jacob Michael Ollis.

Now Jada Sanderlin, Kendra’s mom, wants to know why Jacob Ollis faces time in a North Carolina prison in Colton’s death, while the case has been closed in Elizabethton, where Kendra died.

“I don’t feel like justice was served for either child,” Sanderlin said. “This happened twice and he’s going to be out of jail in a couple of years.”

She said her worst fear is that Ollis could be involved in a similar incident after his release from prison.

“It really messed up my whole life,” she said. “I’m trying not to dwell on it, but I feel like I’m going to have to watch for him.”
