HVHS raffle will benefit Range students

9:35 am | October 11, 2012

A group of Carter County high school students is working on a project to help Hale Community Ministries provide weekend food for needy children at Range Elementary School.

The cost is $93 per child to help the 33 children who need this assistance. Each child, who otherwise might not eat outside of school, will receive a backpack of food for the weekend.

A booth will be set up at Happy Valley High School during this Friday’s game against Sullivan North. People can visit the booth and enter a raffle for a chance to win a $50 Walmart gift card for $2 per entry. Donations can also be made at the booth to benefit the project. Any amount of money will be greatly appreciated to help feed these children.
