In the words of the Beatles, it was a “Hard Day’s Night” for Little Milligan on Thursday. The Buffaloes suffered a pair of losses to Hunter, losing 33-16 in the girls’ game and 57-17 on the boys’ side.

GIRLS

The game got sloppy at times, yet both teams played hard for 24 minutes.

Hunter led 7-2 after the first quarter, then extended to 17-5 at halftime. Erika Potter scored six in the half and six more in the final two quarters for a game-high 12 points.

BOYS

The night got tougher in the boys’ game for Little Milligan. The Buffaloes are currently rebuilding after losing all five starters from last season.

“Our kids are young and still learning,” said Buffaloes coach Mark Shaw. “I’m hoping they’ll come around by the end of the season and be where they need to be.”
