A capacity crowd was on hand at Hunter Elementary School on Monday to watch the Tigers try and take the bite out of a bunch of Jr. Bulldogs. The Lady Cats found success in their quest, but the boys got bitten by the Blue Canines.
Hunter ended a long drought by knocking off the Lady Bulldogs 53-44. Hampton cruised to a 52-30 win on the boys’ side.

Hunter used a pair of late baskets by Monica Honeycutt and Kaitlin Burrow to take a 10-6 lead, but a runner at the buzzer from Hope Bridgeman got the Lady Bulldogs within two going into the second frame.
