Hundreds find Christmas under Angel Tree’s branches

Santa received a sleigh-full of help from volunteers Wednesday as hundreds of Carter County children received Christmas gifts through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

Volunteers distributed Angel Tree gift boxes for 899 angels at the old Magic Mart building on West Elk Avenue.

Mandolyn McNeal is one of the clients receiving gifts from the Angel Tree for her children this year. She said she and her husband will be adopting a child and the gifts will help provide Christmas presents for all
