Highlanders rebuffed by Providence Academy

It was a good day to be a Knight on Thursday in Roan Mountain as Providence Academy took a pair from Cloudland by 16-2 and 17-0 tallies.
The Knights took advantage of walks and errors by the Highlanders, and along with a few timely hits were able to make life easy on their pitching corps and come away with the twin-bill sweep.
“We didn’t beat ourselves this afternoon,” stated Providence coach Martin Sells. “We’re trying to develop some depth, and I am pleased with the direction we are going in. I have only two seniors and a lot of sophomores and I like how we played today.”
