Highlanders fare well in Hampton passing league

Regardless if it’s early June or during the fall, the scenery in Roan Mountain can be absolutely breathtaking.
It’s “God’s Country” — a great vacation spot to enjoy good food, restaurants, camping and relaxation. You’ll also find wonderful people who reside there.
Nestled behind Cloudland High School is John Orr Field, which has the perfect backdrop for a high school football game on Friday night. The gridiron season is something that gets the community’s blood pumping, and after last week’s performance they all have reason to be excited.
Coach Brock Pittman stirred the pot with a second-place finish in the passing league games at Hampton.
