Valentine’s day delivered a week early to ensure perfection for Hampton. For Cloudland, it was a bad case of déjà vu.

Stanley Valentine scored 18 points to pace Hampton to a 73-61 victory over Cloudland that included a large third-quarter run that resembled the season’s first meeting of the teams.

With the win, the Bulldogs finish conference play with a perfect 10-0 record.

“The kids just really worked hard in practice, and they just keep sharing the ball,” Hampton coach Ned Smith said. “I am proud of them. It was a good effort tonight and we played a lot of kids tonight. It is a good conference win. Cloudland has come a long way, and Coach Harrison has done a great job. They have gotten a lot better.”
