Hampton High School’s first-ever Homecoming Parade rated a success

Bulldog Pride spilled out into the streets of Hampton Friday afternoon as Hampton High School students, parents and community supporters celebrated the school’s homecoming with the first-ever Homecoming Parade.

Hundreds of spectators lined Crook Street and First Avenue to watch the parade as it made its way through town. The parade boasted close to 50 participants and lasted about 20 minutes. Participants included sports teams from both Hampton High School and Hampton Elementary School, cheerleaders, the Hampton school band, past homecoming queens, current homecoming queen candidates, youth league teams, high school clubs, local churches, community businesses and individual Hampton High supporters.
