Hampton hasn’t lost faith in passing attack

Expected to quite possibly produce a whale of a running game this season, the Hampton High football team doesn’t plan to turn its aerial attack into a bucket of chum.

“I think people think we won’t be able to throw, and I think they’re wrong on that,” head coach Mike Lunsford said Tuesday during the team’s annual media day. “I’ve got a lot of faith in Coby and other kids. I think we’ll be able to throw it. I don’t think we’ll rely on it as much as we did last year, but that’s more because I think we’ll be able to run it better.”
