Halloween in the Campground will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Roan Mountain State Park Campground from 6 to 9 pm., when a frightening good time can be expected.

Kids are invited to wear their scariest costumes as they trick or treat from site to site in the campground

There will be haunted hayrides and a bonfire. The park will provide hotdogs, buns, drinks and marshmallows. Supplies will be limited, so visitors are invited to bring their own.

Camping rates will be discounted Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27.

Campers are urged to decorate their individual sites and hand out treats to the trick or treaters.

The park will award prizes to the three best decorated sites. First place will receive two nights say in the cabins; second place will receive three nights of free camping; and third place will receive two nights of free camping.
