The parents of Taylor Leanne Hall and Dakota Steven Benfield announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dale and Doreen Hall, Spruce Pine, N.C., and the late Sandy Hall.

Taylor is a 2008 graduate of Mitchell High School and a 2012 graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in English Education. She is currently employed at Mayland Early College High School.

Her fiancé is the son of Steve and Pam Benfield, Newland, N.C.

Dakota is a 2004 graduate of Cloudland High School. He is currently employed with Eddie Stafford Construction.

The couple are planning a spring wedding.
