Michael Brummit, 43, was arrested and charged with five counts of reckless endangerment by discharging a firearm into a habitation, two counts of aggravated assault and evading arrest.

Tommy Brummitt, 42, remains at large and the same charges have been placed on him. Sheriff Chris Mathes said he and his deputies are considering Tommy Brummitt to be “armed and dangerous.” Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office or other local law enforcement.

In a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Mathes said that five houses were struck by bullets that were fired in the area of Dry Creek Road, Brummitt Lane, and Scioto Road. Mathes added that he and his officers believe that one individual, initially, was the target of the shooting.

“We believe this was domestic-related, with the ex-girlfriend being the target of the shooting,” Mathes said.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
