Four chosen to join Imagination Library Educators Hall of Fame

Four educators will join an elite group of honorees when they are inducted into the Carter County Imagination Library Educators Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The Hall of Fame honors outstanding educators and their contributions to both their students and their community. Each year, two educators, one living and one posthumously honored, from the Carter County and Elizabethton City school systems are added to the Hall of Fame.

The honorees this year are Janet Erickson from the Carter County system and Mary Emma Brown from Elizabethton City for the living teacher inductees, and Zola Shankle from the county schools and Anna Kinch from the city schools for the posthumous honorees.
