Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tonya Stevens moderated the forum, asking each candidate two questions submitted by audience members before the forum started.

Questions were chosen at random, and candidates were given one minute to answer each. They were also given a two-minute introduction and closing comments period.

City Council

Tuesday evening’s candidate forum gave Elizabethton City Council candidates the opportunity to meet with potential voters and discuss issues facing the city.

The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce hosted the forum at the Coffee Company in downtown Elizabethton. Candidates were given a short time for introductions and were then asked two questions drawn randomly for them. Before the forum began, audience members had the opportunity to submit written questions for the candidates.
