Fort Watauga Knap-In planned this weekend
8:53 am | October 3, 2012Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area will host the Fort Watauga Knap-In this weekend, Oct. 6-7
Activities will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, and will include flintknapping, blowgun, Atlatl, bow and arrow, and blademaking.
Knapping is the art of making stone tools, and the Fort Watauga Knap-In is a celebration of primitive technology. Those attending will see and learn how pre-historic people made arrowheads, spear points, and other survival tools.
