Cameron Dugger is going to get a chance to redeem what was the hardest moment of his high school golf career.
After missing out on a state championship with a disappointing third-place finish in the Class A/AA state tournament in October, the former Happy Valley standout and one of the most accomplished junior golfers this area has ever seen will be competing in the Tennessee Junior State Amateur in Cleveland July 9-11.
For Dugger, this is an opportunity to avenge a tough moment — where he led the state tournament down the stretch before faltering late. He received an exemption from qualifying with his high finish.
Now, Dugger wants the title and to be called the best junior golfer in the state of Tennessee.
