JOHNSON CITY — There would be no 20-point comeback this time.

Charleston Southern prevented deja vu from East Tennessee State in their second meeting of the season, pulling away in the second half for a 72-51 win over the Buccaneers Tuesday at Brooks Gymnasium.

Arlon Harper scored 25 points to lead CSU (4-5), which surrendered a 20-point lead in a two-point loss to ETSU on its home floor Nov. 20.

The visitors had a 19-point lead at the half and saw the short-handed Bucs (2-7) pull within as much as nine before regaining the upper hand.
