ETSU audiologists, speech-language pathologists seeing patients at recently opened health center

Faculty members from East Tennessee State University’ Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology have begun seeing patients at the new Johnson City Community Health Center.

The center opened in October, replacing the Johnson City Downtown Clinic, which served the primary health care needs of patients throughout the region for more than 20 years.

The new clinic offers primary health care as well as a wide assortment of additional services through a partnership between the ETSU College of Nursing and the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences.

Ashley Rice, a clinical supervisor with the ETSU Department of Audiology and Speech- Language Pathology, said she and her colleagues look forward to providing services at the new clinic.
