EPD seeks public’s help to find woman

The Elizabethton Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find a woman who police say fled from a traffic stop on Milligan Highway last month.

Crystal Renee Cozad, 40, of 104 W. Riverside Drive, faces charges of evading arrest, reckless endangerment and driving on a revoked license (second offense), according to Patrolman Ryan Brackett.

On Oct. 19, at 11 p.m., Brackett said he observed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee make a left-hand turn from the eastbound lanes of Highway 67 to Milligan Highway when the arrow was red for turning left. Brackett then conducted a motor vehicle stop of the vehicle in the parking lot of The Smoke House restaurant at 1941 Milligan Highway.
