Joseph Lee-Oliver Glover, 25, was arrested during a court appearance in Washington County charged with theft of property, four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, four counts of identity theft and three counts of forgery.

According to a media release made Monday by the EPD, a joint investigation between Elizabethton and Johnson City police led to the charges after surveillance video was secured from the Wal-Mart store in Elizabethton showing the alleged crime.

Officers said Glover stole a wallet from a vehicle in Johnson City and used a credit card inside to buy $823.65 worth of merchandise in April.

He was booked into the Carter County Jail and later released on a $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on Aug. 12 for arraignment.
