Emergency Management chief says August flooding damaged 70 Carter County homes9:10 am | October 18, 2012
Two months after several inches of rain drenched portions of Carter County, the local Emergency Management Agency is still helping residents and businesses affected by flooding.
EMA Director Andrew Worley, in his new capacity as chairman, briefed members of the Carter County Local Emergency Planning Committee Wednesday morning, the first time the group has gathered since the Aug. 5 floods.
“We are working with local and national organizations to assist residents,” Worley said. “We are still feeling the effects.”
