Propelled by four wins from Ethan Thomas and Katie May, both the Cyclone boys and girls won the Three Rivers Conference titles in the conference meet on Monday.

For the Lady Cyclones, it was their third straight meet title. The boys meanwhile, avenged a one-point loss to Happy Valley in 2012.

Both teams were at their best, and head coach Aaron Wood couldn’t have been prouder.

“Everyone stepped up to the plate,” he said. “Every single event we had guys set new records. Sullivan East is a great team, we just came with it today.

“This was one of the best meets I have ever been a part of.”

Elizabethton's Katie May triumphed in four events, including two hurdling wins, Monday at the Three Rivers Conference track and field competition.
