EHS handles Morristown East

MORRISTOWN — Elizabethton were much at ease on the road Monday night, posting a 72-49 win over Morristown East.

The Cyclones jumped out to a 19-0 lead and never looked back.

“It was much like our last game — the kids came out ready to play,” said EHS coach Lucas Honeycutt. “They’re starting to get excited about playing basketball.”

Will Robinson had the hot hand early, scoring 11 first-quarter points. He ended the half with 13 points and totaled 19 for the game.

Lady Cyclones 56 Lady Hurricanes 20

MORRISTOWN — It was a ho-hum game for Elizabethton’s girls basketball team Monday night, with the Lady Cyclones breezing past Morristown East for a 56-20 win.

Coach Len Dugger emptied his bench in the non-conference affair, with 15 players seeing action. No EHS player reached double digits in scoring, but Reazyn DeMoss coupled nine points with seven steals.
