Earning the Exxon seal of approval, Hampton’s Ford played with a tiger in his tank.

Breaking the school’s single-game record for receiving yards and putting up four touchdowns in one half of work, Dylan Ford drove the Bulldogs to a 49-7 homecoming rout of Cosby at J.C. Campbell Stadium on Friday night.

“Our quarterback, man — he threw the ball great tonight,” said Ford, who caught six passes for 178 yards. “I just had to get open so I could get the ball in my hands, and I just cut up field to get the touchdowns. My line blocked really well tonight, especially on those end-arounds.

“All in all, we had very little mistakes tonight. Everybody had their heads on straight and came out to play — and the points up on the scoreboard show.”
