Authorities say a man is being charged with driving under the influence after he drove his red Ford F-250 truck through a guardrail, flipping over a 210-foot embankment on Highway 19E in Bunker Hill around 5:49 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Bill Miller, WINGS Air Rescue transported Wilburn L. Norris, 43, Johnson City, to the Johnson City Medical Center with injuries.
Miller said the vehicle was travelling eastbound, drifted towards the median and then Norris over-corrected.
“This caused the vehicle to cross back over both eastbound lanes toward the right shoulder,” according to the report.
