Directline: Skateboard park location still remains undecided

10:22 am | August 23, 2012

Q. What is the status on establishing a local skateboard park?

A. Currently, the Carter County Parks and Recreation Board is still seeking a one-acre site on which to construct the skateboard park, according to Dale Colbaugh, former board chairman. If anyone would like to donate property for the park, they should contact Carter County Mayor Leon Humphrey, Colbaugh said. Charles E. Dykes is the new chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board. He succeeds Colbaugh, who served as chairman the past four years.
