Cyclones use two strong scoring runs to dismiss Warriors

Happy Valley might have blown up Elizabethton’s defense had it been tossing hand grenades instead of shooting basketball. Many of the Warriors’ shots drew iron, but wouldn’t drop.

This allowed ‘Betsy to prevail 61-45 win after two runs broke open a close game.

Zack Hyder’s free throws had given Happy Valley a 15-14 lead with 6:30 remaining in the second quarter. However, the Cyclones closed the half with a 12-2 run that swung the momentum back in their favor.
