University of South Carolina signee Wil Crowe threw a perfect game and hit a mammoth three-run homer leading Pigeon Forge to a 10-0, five-inning victory over ’Betsy at Smyrna High School.

Elizabethton will now face Dyersburg at 10 a.m. (CDT) this morning in an elimination game. If the Cyclones win, they’ll face the loser of Pigeon Forge and Murfreesboro Central at 6.

“The kid was definitely as advertised and then some,” said Elizabethton skipper Joe Nix about Crowe. “We knew and we tried not to talk it up among the kids. But it’s one of those rare talents you see every once in a while. He can just flat out throw the baseball.”
