BLUFF CITY— The “Cardiac Cyclones” once again found a way to win on the road when it appeared like they were dead in the water. Trailing 11-8, they overcame a three-run deficit in the last inning to tie the contest then won it by scoring four times in the eighth to knock off Sullivan East 15-11.

It was a gutsy performance by the Orange and Black, especially senior Thomas Miller. The senior pitched two scoreless inning to earn the win after catching the first six frames.

“My adrenalin kept up while I was on the mound,” stated Miller. “But I was dead tired after I crossed the white lines when it was over with. We’ve not been capitalizing on our opportunities during the game, but we’ve came through in the clutch when it mattered most. I believe this will help us at tournament time.”
