Cyclones can’t escape chill at Myrtle Beach1:45 am | March 26, 2013
Baseball season is my favorite time of year, but watching it on cold nights with temperatures in the 30s is hardly enjoyable. The same can be said for softball.
So far mother nature hasn’t been very cooperative about supplying local teams with warm conditions to play or practice in.
One of those squads is currently in Myrtle Beach, S.C., playing in the Georgetown Invitational during spring break — but it’s not been a picnic there either. Elizabethton’s head coach Joe Nix spoke to me by phone after Monday’s game, and stated the temperature was in the mid-40s when the game started.
