MOUNTAIN CITY — The temperature may have read 30 degrees in Johnson County, but Elizabethton’s boys where white hot on the hardwood.
The Cyclones raced to a 26-4 advantage at the end of the first quarter and cruised to a 73-36 conference victory over the Longhorns Friday night at Ray Shoun Gymnasium.
“We got off to a good start,” said Elizabethton coach Lucas Honeycutt. “We were playing well with a lot of energy. Both games we’ve played them every kid we’ve put on the floor gave 100 percent. We’ve had great effort from anybody we’ve subbed in there and they did what they were supposed to.
