BLUFF CITY — It wasn’t the ideal weather to play softball in but Sullivan East and Happy Valley did so with the snow-covered mountains in the background. And the Warriors found a way to stay unbeaten with a come-from-behind 9-5 win over the Lady Patriots.
Things weren’t exactly kosher for the Tribe over the first three innings. They fell behind 5-1 before scoring eight runs during the fourth and fifth frames.
“We have started slow all year so getting down 5-1 didn’t bother us,” said head coach Mike Dorsey. “I think that’s the sign of a maturing team when you can did yourself a hole then come back.”
It was more like digging a crater instead in the third inning.
