Cloudland clobbers South Greene

Cloudland played the part of Rip Van Winkle in the first quarter, but awoke as an angry sleeping giant in the second.
The Highlanders came out of their first-quarter lull and pulverized South Greene 70-33 inside of Sonny Smith Gymnasium on Thursday.
They trailed 8-6 after the first eight minutes and had shot a frigid 3-of-12 (25%) from the field. They doubled their shooting percentage in the second quarter 8-of-16 (50%) and led 27-12 at the half.
“We were trying to get back in rhythm, said Cloudland coach Brandon Carpenter. “We’ve had a good week of practice, so we wanted to come out and play well.”
