Saturday night Carter County’s Citizens in Action finished its fund-raising efforts for the construction of the new animal shelter. This multi-week activity took place at the Elizabethton Cruise In, hosted every Saturday evening by the Carter County Car Club. Club president, O.B. Foster, drew the winning number Saturday night and LaDonna Williams of Elizabethton was announced the winner.

The CIA fundraiser was made possible with the help of the Carter County Car Club and Judy Livingston, who donated the car set. CIA members said they were excited at the success of this latest activity and noted that they are already making plans for their next civic project.
