Unaka Baptist
Unaka Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Nov. 17.
Sunday School will begin at 9:45 a.m. and the worship service will begin at 10:45 a.m. with Unaka’s Praise and Worship Team presenting special music.
The pastor, the Rev. Walker Roberson, will present the message.
At the conclusion of the service, a Thanksgiving meal will be served.
There will be no evening service.

Green Mountain FWB
Green Mountain Free Will Baptist Church will have a special singing Saturday, Nov. 16, beginning at 7 p.m.
Singing will be Royal Vision as well as local singers.

First Presbyterian
The Rev. John Shuck will continue his series of sermons based on the Gospel of Thomas at the morning worship service Sunday, Nov. 17, at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton.
The theme of the sermon is “Who Are You?” The service will begin at 11 a.m.
Adult Forum and Sunday School will be at 9:45 a.m.
The Science and Spirit Study Group will meet at 7 p.m. in Martin Hall.
First Presbyterian is located at 119 W. F St.

First Christian
Dr. C. Robert Wetzel, chancellor of Emmanuel Christian Seminary, will bring the morning message Sunday, Nov. 17, at First Christian Church of Elizabethton. Craig Estep will present special music.
Morning worship will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Christmas cantata practice will be held at 4 pm. in the sanctuary.
The evening servie at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary will be led by Jeff Campbell. Youth After Church will meet at the Broyles home at 7 p.m.
The Ladies Bible Study group will meet Monday at 10 a.m. in the Fidelis Classroom. Bible study will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday with choir practice to follow at 8 p.m. For more information about First Christian Church and its services, all 542-5651 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.


CCCMF meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at Valley Forge Christian Church.
Tom Caraway, minister at Carter Christian Church, will be the guest speaker.
Following the worship and preaching service there will be a time of fellowship.

Johnson City True Gospel
A gospel singing featuring “No Name But His” will be held Sunday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at True Gospel Free Will Baptist Church, 804 McAurthur St., Johnson City.

Charity Hill FWB
Charity Hill Free Will Baptist Church will host the Evangelaires Sunday, Nov. 17, at the 6 p.m. worship service.

Bethlehem Lutheran
The sermon theme for morning worship Sunday, Nov. 17, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church will be “Do Not Grow Weary” based on scripture from II Thess. 3: 6-13.
Morning worship will be held at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Sunday School and Bible Study will be held at 9:15 a.m.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.

East Side FWB
A bean supper will be held at East Side Free Will Baptist Church Nov. 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. You can dine in or carry out.
The meal price is $6. The dinner will consist of beans, slaw, cornbread and dessert.
All proceeds will go toward the church youth trip.
East Side Free Will is located at 704 Siam Road.

Riverside Community
Riverside Community Church of Jesus, located on Patterson Lane off Pleasant Beach Road, has changed the time of its services for the winter months
Sunday services will be held at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and the Wednesday service at 6 p.m.
The Sunday afternoon service will consist of singing.

New Liberty FWB
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church will be holding a fundraising event “Dollar Day” this Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service for the Free Will Baptist Family Ministries located in Greeneville.
The Family Ministries organization provides many services to the East Tennessee regional area by supporting both the youth and the elderly.
During the 6 p.m. Sunday evening worship serving, there will be a baptismal service for Austin Wilson. Pastor Ray Colbaugh invites Austin’s friends and family to come and support him on this special evening.
New Liberty is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

First United Methodist
“A Letter From Home” will be the theme of the sermon for the Sunday morning worship service Nov. 17 at First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton. The scripture text is Jer. 29: 4-13.
Morning worship will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a brief fellowship time. Sunday School will begin at 11:20 a.m.
The Men’s Prayer Group will meet Sunday at 9 a.m. in Room 108.
The Sunday evening Bible study on Acts will be held at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
UMY will meet Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the youth house. The G2s will meet Tuesday 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. in the youth house and the Coolagers will meet Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
The Wednesday evening service will be held at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
First United Methodist is located of 325 E. E St.
