New Liberty FWB
Sacred Harmony, a local Southern Gospel group, will be singing in concert Sunday, March 17, at 6 p.m. at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

CCCMF meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at Oak Grove Christian Church.
The guest speaker will be Mike Luzadder, ETSU campus minister for area Christian churches.
There will be a time of fellowship following the worship and preaching service.

First United Methodist
“The Fragrances of Worship” will be the theme of the sermon at morning worship, Sunday, March 17, at First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton. The scripture text is John 2: 1-8.
The service will begin at 10 a.m., after which there will be Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The Men’s Prayer Group will meet Sunday at 9 a.m. in Room 108.
The Sunday evening Bible study will meet at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
The UMY will meet Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the youth house.
Other groups meeting during the week include the Abiding Love Bible Study Group at 10 a.m. Tuesday; the G2s Tuesday from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. in the youth house; and the Coolagers Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
The Lenten Study “Defeating Your Giants” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
The pastor is the Rev. Raymond Amos and the minister to children and youth is Debbie Fields.

First Christian Church
Minister Brent Nidiffer will continue his sermon series “Between Heaven and Earth” Sunday at the morning worship service at First Christian Church of Elizabethton. The sermon will feature the sixth saying from the cross “It is Finished.”
The service will begin at 9:45 a.m. followed by Sunday School.
The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 p.m. Children and youth classes will also meet at that time.
The Ladies Bible Study will be held at 10 a.m. Monday and morning prayer will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will be held at Oak Grove Christian Church at 7 p.m.
The Wednesday evening Bible study will be held at 7 p.m. There will be classes for all age groups.
The Grace Circle will also meet Wednesday 7 p.m. in the Winsome Classroom.
Choir practice will be held at 8 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Borderview Christian
The Adult Choir Ministry of Borderview Christian Church will present a program of choir music with video enhancement Good Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m.
The program “Rise Again,” arranged by Russell Mauldin, captures the emotions of the Passion story.
The musical will also be presented Easter Sunday, March 31, at the 10:45 a.m. worship hour.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“Press On” will be the theme of the sermon at morning worship Sunday, March 17, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 201 E. Watauga Ave., Johnson City. The scripture text is Philippians 3: 8-14.
Morning worship is held at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Communion will be served at both services.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available on the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.

A benefit singing for Relay for Life will be held at the Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church Saturday, March 16 at 6 p.m.
Featured will be the Loren Harris Family, Jeff Snyder, Joy Scalf and Unity, the Valley Forge Praise Choir and the Valley Forge Singers.
A love offering will be received for the Forge Fighters for Christ Relay for Life team.

Freedom Fellowship
Evangelist David Lyles from Lansing, N.C., will be the featured speaker for revival services March 17-21 at Freedom Fellowship Church, 194 Old Stoney Creek Road.
Services Sunday will be held at 6 p.m. and Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m.
Special singing will also be presented at each service featuring Joel Crisp, Sunday; the New Covenant, Wednesday; and Barbara Smith, Thursday.

Calvary Baptist
The Easter musical “Where Love and Mercy Meet” will be presented by at Calvary Baptist Church Sunday, March 31, at the 11 a.m. service.

Fairview Baptist Church, 585 Watauga Road, will celebrate its 90th anniversary and homecoming Sunday, March 17, at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Special music will be provided by the Carson Peters Band and Andrew Jordan and Friends.

“The Meaning of Life” will be the theme of Sunday worship, March 17, when the fifth Sunday in Lent is celebrated. The service will begin at 11 a.m.
Adult Forum and Sunday School will be held at 9:45 a.m.
The Science and Spirit Study Group will meet at 5 p.m.
The Spring Equinox Service and Celebration will be held at 6:15 p.m. March 19. Sponsored by the church’s Peacemaking Team, the ceremony will be followed by a potluck meal. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share.
Also, members are invited to contribute spring decorations or flowers.
