Burbank FWB
A benefit singing will be held Saturday, June 15, at 7 p.m. at Burbank Freewill Baptist Church above Roan Mountain State Park.
The benefit will assist Rick and Barbara Guinn, whose home burned recently.
Singers will include The Montgomery Family, Danny Cooke Family and The Melody Trio.

First Christian
First Christian Elizabethton’s Leadership Meeting will be held Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Conference Room.
Sunday morning will be Father’s Day. Come join the church’s celebration of fathers and give honor to one special Father of the Year. Minister Brent Nidiffer will bring the morning message and Cara Estep will have special message through music.
Sunday School classes for all ages will follow the morning worship service. There will be no evening service as families are encouraged to enjoy the day together with Father.
At 10 a.m. Monday, the Ladies Bible Study will be held in the Fidelis Classroom with Patsy Tadlock leading.
Tuesday at 10 a.m., Brent Nidiffer will lead the Morning Prayer Session in the sanctuary. Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will be held at Sims Hill.
On Friday, June 21, at 7 p.m., The Gathering II, area youth of Christian churches, will meet in the fellowship hall for a Christian Band Fest. For more information, contact Josh Ringley.

Elk Park Christian
New Roots Bluegrass will perform in concert Sunday, June 16, at 6 p.m. at Elk Park Christian Church.
The church is located at 220 Old Mill Road, Elk Park, N.C.

Milligan FWB
Milligan Freewill Baptist Church will hold a one-day Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
The theme for this year’s VBS is “Colossal Coaster: Facing Fear and Trusting God.”
Those age 3 to youth are invited to attend. The church is located at 1471 Milligan Highway.

First United Methodist
First United Methodist Church, 325 East E St., Elizabethton, will feature the sermon “A Father’s Prayer” based on Matthew 17:14-18 during Sunday’s 10 a.m. worship service. A brief fellowship time immediately follows the service.
Sunday School for all ages begins at 11:20 a.m.
The Men’s Prayer Group meets on Sundays at 9 a.m. in Room 108. The Sunday Evening Bible Study meets at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
The Abiding Love Bible Study meets at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays in the fellowship classroom.
There will be no Wednesday evening service next week.
The Rev. Raymond Amos is the pastor and Debbie Fields is the Minister to Children and Youth. A nursery is provided.

The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at Sims Hill Christian Church. Paul Peer will be the guest speaker.

Memorial Presbyterian
The Rev. Calvin Jett will bring the message Sunday, June 16, at the 10:45 a.m. worship service at Memorial Presbyterian Church (PCA).
“Conversations with Jesus — Nicodemus” will be the theme for the message and the Scripture text is John 3:1-15.
A nursery is provided for children during the service. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.
Memorial Presbyterian is located at 100 East F St., Elizabethton. The Rev. Dwight Basham serves as Pastor.

Buck Mountain Baptist
The annual Sovereign Grace Bible Conference will be held at Buck Mountain Baptist Church June 17-19 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Don Fortner of Faith Baptist Church of Danville, Ky., will be the speaker.
