Lynn Valley Baptist
Lynn Valley Baptist Church will hold a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.
The menu will include spaghetti, garden salad, bread, dessert and a drink for $8.
Carryout will also be available.
Lynn Valley’s monthly clothes closet will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. till noon.
Clothing will be available to all ages for men, women and children.
The clothes closet is held in the church annex.

First Christian
First Christian Church will host its monthly Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 8 a.m. The cost is $4.
Minister Brent Nidiffer will bring the message for the Sunday morning worship service at 9:45 a.m. Special music will be presented by Lorrie Case, Nancy White and Shirley Curde. A special offering will be received for the Friendly Fund, which goes to help bereaved church members.
The evening service will begin at 6 p.m.
The Ladies Bible Study group will meet Monday at 10 a.m. in the Fidelis Classroom.
The Mid-Morning Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
Bible Study classes will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. Also, the Grace Circle will meet.
Thursday at 6:30 p.m. the Women’s Fellowship will host its annual mission dinner. Featured team speakers this year are from The Promised Land near Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Those attending are asked to bring their favorite salad for a salad buffet.

Friendship Free Will
Homecoming will be held Sunday, Aug. 4, at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, Hampton, at the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
The Sounds of Victory will present special singing.
Following morning worship, lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.
There will be no evening service.

Sims Hill Christian
Homecoming will be observed Sunday, Aug. 4, at Sims Hill Christian Church.
There will be no Sunday School. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Randall Johnson, minister at East Side Christian Church, preaching. Special music will be by Sunshine.
Following the service, a covered dish lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.
There will be no evening service.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“Where Is Your Treasure” will be the theme of the message for Sunday morning worship services at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 201 E. Watauga Ave., Johnson City. The sermon text is Luke 12: 13-21.
Morning worship will be held at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Communion will be served at both worship services.
Sunday School and Bible study will be held at 9:15 a.m.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.

Minister Barry Pettit will begin a new series of messages “What’s God’s Will” Sunday, Aug. 4, at the morning worship service, which begins at 10:45 a.m.
Sunday School will begin at 9:45 a.m.
The Spanish Ministry will meet at the same times.
Sunday will be Promotion Sunday for children moving to a new class.
Youth sponsors will meet at 4 p.m.

First United Methodist
Pastor Raymond Amos will present the sermon, “A Table In The Wilderness,” at the Sunday morning worship service Sunday, Aug. 4, at First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton. The sermon text is Psalms 78: 1-7.13-20.
Morning worship will begin at 10 a.m. Holy Communion will be served.
Following the service a brief fellowship time will be held. Sunday School will begin at 11:20 a.m.
The Men’s Prayer Group will meet Sunday at 9 a.m. in Room 108.
The Sunday evening Bible study will meet at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
The Abiding Love Bible Study Group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the fellowship classroom.
The Wednesday evening service will be held at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

First Presbyterian
The Rev. John Shuck returns to the pulpit for the Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton. The theme of his message is “The Beginning Is Coming” based on selections from the Gospel of Thomas.
Sunday School and Adult Forum will be held at 9:45 a.m.

Freedom Fellowship
Freedom Fellowship will have a one-day Bible school Saturday, Aug. 3, from noon until 2:30 p.m. The theme will be “God’s Whole Armor Has No Holes.”
There will be inflatables for the youth from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and refreshments will be served. A free outdoor wrestling show will be held at 6 p.m.
Youth Week will be highlighted with a message at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, by David Finney, a 16-year-old junior standout baseball player at Hampton High School.
Freedom Fellowship is located at 1784 Highway 91 about one-half mile past Unaka Elementary School.
Shannon Sims is the pastor and Tim Chambers is the youth minister.
The public is invited to attend.

Fork Mountain FWB
By Way of the Cross will sing Sunday, Aug. 4, at the 10 a.m. service at Fork Mountain Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain.
