Hampton Christian
Homecoming will be celebrated at Hampton Christian Church, 810 Deerfield Lane, Hampton (across from the Hampton High Baseball Field), Sunday, Sept. 15.
Singing will be presented by Young-Song at 10 a.m., followed by a time of worship.
Guest speaker will be Jeff Campbell, who is celebrating 50 years of ordination to the ministry. Jeff was ordained in 1953 at Hampton Christian Church. He has since served as minister of several East Tennessee Christian churches.
A meal will follow the service in the fellowship hall at 1 p.m.

Crabtree FWB
Homecoming will be celebrated at Crabtree Freewill Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 15.
There will be special singing and preaching. Dinner will follow the services. Everyone is welcome.
The church is located on Hogum Hollow Road, Roan Mountain.

Bunker Hill Christian
Bunker Hill Christian Church, 490 Bunker Hill Road, Bluff City, will hold a Donation-Only Rummage Sale Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. until noon.
There will be free food and free inflatables for kids.
There will be tons of clothes, household items, furniture, etc. No price tags on anything.

 
Unicoi COG
The Unicoi Church of God will be conducting revival services Sept. 15-18 with evangelist Clifton West. The Rev. West is currently serving as State Evangelist for the Church of God in Virginia.
Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday services at 7 p.m. each evening.

Unaka Baptist
Unaka Baptist Church will have its monthly Brotherhood Breakfast Saturday, Sept. 14, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. A $6 donation is requested.

Lynn Valley
Lynn Valley Baptist Church will have a fall revival Sept. 15-18 featuring the Rev. Jamie Ferguson, Pastor of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church.
The revival will begin with the Sunday morning service at 10:15 a.m. The Sunday evening service will be at 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday services will be at 7 p.m.
Special music will be presented by the Celebration Choir directed by Larry Adams, Minister of Music.

First Presbyterian
“Courage and Healing Under Fire” will be the theme for the morning worship service Sunday, Sept. 15, at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton. The text will include selections from the Letter of Peter to Philip.
Following the service dinner will be held on the grounds. The Community Life Team will host one of the church’s two annual family dinners. Those attending are asked to bring a family-sized dish of food to share.
Adult Forum and Sunday School will be held at 9:45 a.m.
The Religion for Life Radio Program on WETS 89.5 FM will be held at 2 p.m., and hosted by the pastor, the Rev. John Shuck.
The Science and Spirit Study Group will meet at 7 p.m. in Martin Hall.

First United Methodist
“The King and I” will be the theme of the Sunday morning service Sept. 15 at First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton. The scripture text is I Timohty 1: 12-17.
Morning worship is held at 10 a.m. followed by a brief fellowship time. School School will begin at 11:20 a.m.
The Men’s Prayer Group will meet Sunday at 9 a.m. in Room 108.
The Sunday evening Bible study on Acts will meet at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
UMY will meet Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the youth house.
The G2s will meet Tuesday from 3:15 5o 4:30 p.m. in the youth house. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
The Wednesday evening service will be held at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
The Rev. Raymond Amos is pastor and Debbie Fields is minister to children and youth.

CCCMF meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at Big Spring Church of Christ, located on Gap Creek Road.
The guest speaker will be Randle Johnson.
Following the worship and preaching service there will be a time of fellowship.

First Christian
Brent Nidiffer, minister, will present the morning message Sunday at 9:45 a.m. at First Christian Church of Elizabethton. Janet Stuart will lead in worship.
Sunday School will be held following the morning worship service with classes for all ages.
Evening worship will be held at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. The youth will meet in the Loft.
The Ladies Bible Study Group will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Fidelis Classroom.
Mid-Morning Prayer will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.
Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. Homework Helps will meet upstairs in the Education Wing. At 7 p.m. Bible study classes for all ages will be held in assigned classrooms. The college class will meet at the Nidiffer home.
Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:30, the church will serve those who have made appointments for the benevolent program. For an appointment call the church office.

The Solid Rock Trio will be in charge of the 6 p.m. worship service Sunday, Sept. 15, at the New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.

Calvary Baptist
Calvary Baptist Church, 225 Holly Lane, will host Evangelist Randy Kington Sunday, Sept. 15, at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Kington will share his testimony of how God saved his life during the Vietnam War. After nine months of the most intense fighting of the Vietnam War, Kington, then 19 years old, was severly wounded in an encounter with the enemy Mar. 21, 1966. The injury left him paralyzed from the chest down and in a wheelchair for life.
His testimony shares the price paid to triumph over the difficult of obstacles and the rewards of overcoming.
Kington, author and speaker, grew up in Morristown.

Hampton First Baptist
Hampton First Baptist Church will have a fundraiser barbecue lunch with all the fixings, a silent auction youth benefit and applebutter stirring Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at noon.
The barbecue lunch can be purchased with a donation. The silent auction, which will begin at noon and end at 2 p.m.,will include antiques, furniture, and other treasures.
The applebutter will be made and sold on site.

Elk Park Christian
Homecoming will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, at Elk Park Christian Church, at the 11 a.m. service after which lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.
Revival will begin at the church Sunday and continue through Sept.18. The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday will be at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Charles Fitzsimmons, minister of Union Christian Church, Jonesborough.
Special music will be presented at each service, including the Union Christian Church Choir and the Lower Shell Creek Christian Church Choir.

The congregation of First Baptist Church Elizabethton invites the public to worship with them this Sunday morning. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. A morning worship service, featuring a blend of contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns will follow, beginning at 10:45 a.m.
Dr. Earl Davis, interim pastor, will bring this week’s sermon, “The Sight That Saves,” a message based on scripture from Numbers 21:6-9 and John 3:14-16. The message will discuss Jesus being lifted up and evangelism.
